BEST OF THE BAYOU FESTIVAL
A Look Back on the 2013 Best of the Bayou Festival in Houma, LA:
The 2013 Best of the Bayou Festival in Houma was a great success that featured beautiful weather, delicious local cuisine, great live music, tons of activities for the kiddos, handmade arts and crafts, good friends and so much more!
There were amazing performances Robert Randolph and the Family Band with their special guest Anders Osborne, Eric Lindell, Dumpstaphunk, Kermit Ruffins & the BBQ Swingers, Jason Isbell and Marcia Ball. Local favorites Sheauxdown, Autumn High, Blue Eyed Soul Revue, Ruff-N-Ready, Auto Pilots, and Baby Bee were also rocking throughout the weekend as they took over the Chevron Gulf Groove and Boudin Bayou Stages.
The Peoples Drug Food Court featured several local restaurants to create delicious meals and treats throughout the weekend for attendees. From Big Mike’s brisket po-boys to White Bowl’s egg rolls to Scarlet Scoops’ Lagniappe Pop Rouge ice cream – there was something for everyone to enjoy! Bar Roussell’s signature drink, Bayou Blackberry Tea, was the perfect beverage to wash down all of the food – it even sold out on Saturday!
